An EAM connection point in ION is needed for EAM BOD integration with ION. Depending on the scenarios, an appropriate type of EAM connection point will need to be used and corresponding EAM Databridge partner will need to be configured accordingly. If IMS type of connection point is used for EAM, you will need to configure INFOR-IMS partner in EAM. If IO Box type (Infor application) of connection point is used for EAM, you will need to configure INFOR-ONRAMP partner in EAM. Make sure the last portion of Logical ID of the EAM connection point used matches with the partner ID of the corresponding EAM Databridge partner.

In an on-premise scenario, it is required to create an EAM connection point (with type=Infor Application or IMS, logical ID type=eam) that connects to the ION IOBox used by EAM or EAM IMS end point. In Cloud environment, EAM connection point is automatically created during tenant provisioning process. Once the EAM connection point is created, you will need to configure EAM connection point following the below guidelines. Tenant of EAM connection point needs to match with EAM’s tenant. In cloud environment, this is not transparent to the user and tenants are always matched within the same context. In non-cloud ION, please check the tenant checkbox and then specify the tenant to match with EAM tenant.
In cloud environment, if IMS type connection point is used, set Address to ‘INFOREAMIMS’ and leave the Login ID and Password fields blank in the Response Details section of INFOR-IMS partner on Databridge Partners screen. In cloud environment, if IO Box type connection point is used, set Address to ‘INFOREAMIOBOX’ and leave the Login ID and Password fields blank in the Response Details section of INFOR-ONRAMP partner on Databridge Partners screen.
On Documents tab of EAM connection point, please add AssetTrackingData noun with verb=Sync and
‘Send from Application’ checked.
