A screen from a custom application (ISA or ESA) may be added to HxGN EAM as a custom tab on a delivered HxGN EAM screen.
A custom tab on an EAM screen is a tab that is displayed on an existing screen and is available for selection just like any other tab delivered with HxGN EAM. The content for the resulting page does not exist within HxGN EAM nor is it constructed in any way using HxGN EAM components.
-
In EAM, open the Screens screen and select the screen to which a new tab will be added. If the custom tab is needed on a delivered screen, then just select that screen. If the tab is located on a user-defined grid screen, the screen name is the same as the name of the user-defined grid.
-
Click the Custom Tabs tab.
-
Specify the description.
-
Select the tab type as HTML.
Specify a URL Path. The URL path has to be the fully qualified path to the web resource. It can contain certain parameters that will be replaced by HxGN EAM when it renders your custom page. These parameters contain information about the user that is logged in and the header record details.
See Adding custom application screens as tabs on EAM screen.
-
Screen permissions can now be modified for this tab.
-
By default all permissions are disabled. Enable what you need.
