Lightweight Directory Access Protocols (LDAP) can store hierarchical data definitions across platforms. LDAP is most often used to store user credentials across many applications.
HxGN EAM allows you to associate specific types of users with LDAP roles. Associate an HxGN EAM Barcoding user with an LDAP role.

Start HxGN EAM.

Select Administration > Security > Role Setup.

Select the role for which to associate users, and then click the Record View tab.

Select HxGN EAM Barcoding if the user of the role is an HxGN EAM Barcoding user.

Click Save Record.
