In older versions of Cognos, to create a new report, you had to first launch Report Studio and choose a package. In Cognos Analytics, Report Studio has been replaced with Reporting. You create a new report in the same browser/tab.

From the EAM menu, click Advanced Reports Author.

From the left navigation pane, click + New and then select Report.

Select Blank template and click Create.
Reporting only works in Microsoft Edge and Chrome web browsers.
