This section contains instructions for managing the FTR setup in SmartPlant Foundation.

Documents can be indexed only after their file types are assigned a filter. You can specify which classes of objects and which properties are to be indexed.

If you need to process data in different languages, you can configure locale settings to improve the use of the software.

If SmartPlant Foundation vaults exist on separate computers from the FTR Main Server, the FTR service is also installed on these computers so that files in these remote vaults are indexed locally; therefore, the FTR Main Server must know the location of the remote FTR servers to look for remote collections. For details about FTR architecture and setup, see Full-Text Retrieval (FTR) Installation and Setup.

Collection files can be up to 99 GB in size; therefore, make sure that your computer has more than 99 GB of additional disk space.
