Full-Text Retrieval settings are configured in the Desktop Client.

  1. Click Administration > FTR Configuration in the Desktop Client.

The following dialog box is provided to configure classes to index their objects. You can add or remove Class Definition objects to or from indexing.

  2. In the left pane, select the classes to be indexed.

  3. In the right pane, select the properties to be indexed.

  4. Click OK.

The class definitions that realize ISPFFTRItem are displayed on the left side of the dialog box.

A shortcut menu option on class definitions is provided to configure them for FTR, that is, Enable/Disable FTR Indexing. Enabling FTR indexing on any class definition selects the class definition in the FTR Configuration dialog box by default.

Example of indexing document objects and files

This would be configured by adding the class definitions SPFDesignDocVersion and SPFDesignFile in the FTR Configuration dialog box.
