Budget line items may be defined only for the objects with a Cost Control Level (CCL) assignment. You can select an object in the Original Budget Summary panel by clicking on the Unapproved Cost hyperlink. This displays the budget line items in the Unapproved Cost Details panel. The Unapproved Cost Details panel is used to add, view, modify and delete line item details, and to update Cost Account, Resource, Unit of Measure (UOM), as well as establish the object’s Cost, Quantity, and Hours.

If a parent object is selected: The budget line items for all child objects whose CCL is assigned can be viewed in the Unapproved Cost Details panel, and/or budget line items can be added for any child objects.

If the lowest-level child object is selected: Only the budget line items for that object can be viewed in the Unapproved Cost Details spreadsheet. Budget line items can be added only for that object.
If the project exchange rate table is not established in the Project Setup screen (Projects > Project Setup > Currency & Rates tab), the system cannot calculate Cost in Object Currency.
Follow the procedure below to setup the budget details.

Navigate to Budgets > Original Budget.

In the Project Navigation Register panel, do the following:

(Optional) In the toolbar, click the Project Controller ellipsis to select the project controller.
All the projects that are controlled by the selected project controller appears.

(Optional) In the toolbar, click the Project Manager ellipsis and select the project manager of the project.

(Optional) In the toolbar, click the Portfolio ellipsis and select the portfolio to which the project belongs to.

Select the required project row to view and edit its project details.
The project details are displayed on the right-hand side.
(Or)
On the right-hand side, at the top of the screen, in the toolbar, click the Project ellipsis and select the required project.

If required, click the Refresh icon to update the screen.
