The Contingency Analysis screen allows you to view Contingency Accounts under a Project and all associated Changes. Also, you can view the comparison graph between Original Budget, Changes and Forecast in the Contingency Drawdown chart.

The Contingency Drawdown chart has the following legend:

  • Project Start Period - Start of Project

  • Project End Period - Parameter value is offset by a period to display the drawdown to 0, which will be End of Project Period + 1

  • X-axis - The chart displays the Approved Budget from the Approved Contingency amount with an offset, that is Project start period - 1

  • Y-axis - Y-axis represents the amount.

  • Allotted Monthly Drawdown - This is not plotted on the graph but is used as a reference. This represents the amount of money allowed to withdraw from the Contingency account per month according to the plan. Ideally, the Actual Contingency Drawdown amount matches with the allotted budget.

  • Actual Contingency Drawdown - This is not plotted on the graph but used is used as a reference. This represents the amount of money withdrawn from the Contingency account each month.

  • Contingency Drawdown Plan - This is the Original Budget plan for the Approved Contingency amount for each month.

  • Contingency Drawdown Plan + and - 20% - This represents the Original Budget plan for the Approved Contingency amount for each month as a warning buffer.

  • Pending Contingency Changes - These are the changes in the Submitted status that deal with money transfers from the contingency account. This displays the total remaining amount in the Contingency account after the Change is Approved.

  • Approved Contingency Changes - This represents Original Budget - Approved Changes in the Contingency Account. This displays the remaining contingency amount available in the account.

  • Contingency Forecast - Represents the remaining amount in the Contingency account planned to spend each month.
