This procedure allows you to calculate the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Present Value (NPV) for the selected opportunity.

In the Opportunity Details panel, click the Financials tab.

Type the Discount Rate %.

Type the Initial Investment.
The Initial Investment must always be a negative value.

Type the expected Cash Flow Year for each year.

Click SAVE. The net present value is calculated and appears in the NPV (Live Calc).
If the NPV (Live Calc) is negative, then the value displays in red.

Click the View Chart hyperlink to view the cashflow value versus present value over time.

Verify the NPV (Live Calc) and click the Store NPV hyperlink to store the value in NPV (Stored value).

You can also change the NPV (Stored value) manually.

When the NPV (Stored Value) is updated, the Check: Net Present Value validation check is completed.

To view the updated Validation Count, click the Refresh icon. After the Validation Count becomes zero the opportunity can be submitted for review.

Click Calculate IRR and then click Refresh icon to display the value in IRR %.

You can also change the IRR % manually.

Click Clear IRR to clear all the values in Financials tab except Discount Rate %.
