The project acquires some of its general attributes from the Opportunity screen. This procedure allows you to update the existing attributes imported from the Opportunity screen and the new attributes.

  1. In the Gate Review panel, click the General tab.

    • By default, the last selected project appears in the Project ellipsis. To change the default project, click the Project ellipsis and select the required project.

    • The values in the Project Name, Project ID, Alternate ID, Business Justification / Objective, Project Manager, and Responsible Manager auto-populate. These values are retrieved from the Opportunities screen.

    • Initially the Status of the project is In Development.

    • Project ID and Status are non-editable fields. These values are imported from the Opportunities screen.

  2. (Optional) Edit the Project Name. By default, the name updated in the Opportunities screen appears.

  3. (Optional) Edit the Alternate ID of the project. By default, the alternate ID updated in the Opportunities screen appears.

  4. Click the Security Org ellipsis to select the required security organization.

  5. (Optional) Click the Portfolio ellipsis to select the required portfolio. This adds the current project to the selected portfolio.

  6. (Optional) Click the Project Manager ellipsis to select the required project manager. By default, the project manager setup in the Opportunities screen appears.

  7. (Optional) Click the Responsible Manager ellipsis to select the required responsible manager. By default, the responsible manager setup in the Opportunities screen appears.

  8. (Optional) Type in the Business Justification / Objective of the project. By default, the objective updated in the Opportunities screen appears.

  9. (Optional) Click the Client ellipsis to select the client for the project.

  10. (Optional) Click the Location ellipsis to select the location where the project will be setup.

  11. Click SAVE.
