This procedure allows you to create an opportunity by assigning it default attributes setup the administrator. When a new opportunity is created, the status of the opportunity becomes Initiated, enterprise-level validation checks are added to the opportunity, and a log entry appears in the Opportunities Log panel.

Navigate to Portfolios > Opportunities.

Click the Actions list and select Create Opportunity.
The Create Opportunity dialog box appears.

In the Opportunity Name field, type the required opportunity name.

Click the Security Organization ellipsis to select the required security organization. By default, Sample Organization appears.

(Optional) Type a Comment.

Click the Run button. The Create Opportunity confirmation dialog box appears.

Click the OK button. A new opportunity appears in the Opportunity Register panel.

To view the status log of the opportunity, click the Status hyperlink in the Opportunity Register panel.

To view the validation checks, click the Validation Count hyperlink in the Opportunity Register panel.
