The Capital Plan Snapshot dashboard displays current project costs along with the costs captured when the selected capital plan snapshot was generated. All the costs appear based on the selected fiscal year.

SHARED Tip You can customize the view of the Capital Plan Snapshot panel from the View Settings.

Follow the procedure below to view the capital plan snapshot:

  1. Navigate to Portfolios > Capital Plan Snapshot.

  2. At the top of the screen, in the green parameter bar:

    • Click the Capital Plan Snapshot ellipsis to select the required time period label.

    • Click the Year ellipsis to select required fiscal year.

    • Click the Portfolio Period ellipsis to select the required month and year. The corresponding project cost details appear in the Capital Plan panel.

      The below listed details appear:

      • Project ID: Displays the project ID.

      • Project Name: Displays the project name.

      • Project Type: Displays the project type.

      • Status: Displays the project status.

      • Score: Displays the project prioritization score.

      • Current Budget: Displays the current project budget for the selected year.

      • Current Budget Snapshot: Displays the current budget for the selected year captured in the selected capital plan snapshot.

      • Current Forecast: Displays the current project forecast for the selected year.

      • Current Forecast Snapshot: Displays the current forecast for the selected year captured in the selected capital plan snapshot.

      • Earned Value: Displays the earned value of the project for the selected year.

      • Snapshot Schedule Variance: Displays the difference between the current earned values and the current budget snapshot for the selected time period.

      • Snapshot Budget Variance: Displays the difference between the current budget and the current budget snapshot.

      • Snapshot Forecast Variance: Displays the difference between the current budget and the current budget snapshot.

  3. To compare the current budget, earned value, and current budget snapshot values of all the projects for the selected capital plan in a bar chart format, click the Budget tab in the Capital Plan Snapshot panel. This comparison is displayed for each month of the selected year.

  4. To compare the current budget, earned value, and current budget snapshot values of an individual project for a project selected capital plan in the Budget tab, click the Project ID hyperlink in the Capital Plan Snapshot panel. This comparison is displayed for each month of the selected year and appears in a bar chart format.

  5. To compare the current forecast and current forecast snapshot values of all the projects for the selected capital plan in a bar chart, click the Forecast tab in the Capital Plan Snapshot panel. This comparison is displayed for each month of the selected year.

  6. To compare the current forecast and current forecast snapshot values of an individual project for the selected capital plan in the Forecast tab, click the Project ID hyperlink in the Capital Plan Snapshot panel. This comparison is displayed for each month of the selected year and appears in a bar chart format.
