Create Opportunity from Template - EcoSys - 2.04 - Help - Hexagon PPM

This procedure allows you to create a new opportunity by assigning the attributes setup by the administrator for the selected template. When a new opportunity is created, the status of the opportunity becomes Initiated, enterprise-level validation checks are added to the opportunity, and a log entry appears in the Opportunities Log panel.

1. Navigate to Portfolios > Opportunities.

2. Click the Actions list and select Create Opportunity from Template.

   

   The Create Opportunity from Template dialog box appears.

   

3. In the Opportunity Name field, type the required opportunity name.

4. Click the Opportunity Template ellipsis to select the required template.

5. Click the Security Organization ellipsis to select the required security organization. By default, Sample Organization appears.

6. (Optional) Type a Comment.

7. Click the Run button. The Create Opportunity from Template confirmation dialog box appears.

   

8. Click the OK button. A new opportunity appears in the Opportunity Register panel.

   

   • To view the status log of the opportunity, click the Status hyperlink in the Opportunity Register panel.

   • To view the validation checks, click the Validation Count hyperlink in the Opportunity Register panel.
