This procedure allows you to create a copy of budget, forecast, earned value, commitment costs as well as the Project Manager, Project Start Date, Project End Date, and Project Status for all projects with the selected portfolios for which the Include in Plan check box is selected, and associates that data with the selected time period label.

  1. Navigate to Portfolios > Capital Planning.

  2. To add a project to the capital plan, select the Include in Plan check box corresponding to it in the Capital Plan panel.

    To remove the project from the capital plan, clear the Include in Plan check box.

  3. In the Capital Plan panel, click SAVE.

  4. Click the REFRESH button to view the updated information in the Capital Plan for Start Year and the Capital Plan Multi-Year bar charts.

  5. Click the Actions list and select Snapshot Capital Plan by Portfolio.

  6. Click the Capital Plan Snapshot ellipsis to select the time period label. By default, the last selected capital plan appears.

  7. Click the Portfolio ellipsis to select the portfolios that should be displayed in Capital Plan Snapshot panel.

  8. Click RUN and then OK.

    To view the capital plan snapshot, navigate to Portfolios > Capital Plan Snapshots.
