This procedure allows the EPP administrator to manually add or modify users in the Maintain Users screen layout. Directions listed below must be followed explicitly.

  • Never update admin and backup resources.

  • Choices of selections in drop-down boxes that do not match those listed below can have serious consequences.

  1. Navigate to Admin > Core Admin > Users and Security > Maintain Users.

  2. Click the Users tab.

  3. Click the Insert Row icon to add a new user.

  4. Type in the required Login Name.

    If using LDAP security, this must match exactly the account configured on the LDAP server.

  5. Type in the required First Name.

  6. (Optional) Type the required Initial.

  7. Type in the required Last Name.

  8. Select the Active check box.

  9. Type in the Email if user will be utilizing email workflow capabilities.

    Email address must be unique (no other EcoSys users should be assigned with the same email address). If the same email address is assigned to more than one EcoSys user, email workflow may not function as expected.

  10. Double-click the License column to select the required license.

  • For a new EcoSys Administrator, select System Administrator Plus User.

  • For a new End User, select Project Planner.

  • For a new Read Only User, select Project Read Only.

  1. Select API Access check box (required if the user has update access and EcoSys has been set up to automatically interface with another system).

  2. Double-click the Authentication Mode column to select required authentication. The available authentication modes are listed below:

  • LDAP - User enters their system password to log onto EcoSys.

  • Native - User enters the EcoSys-defined password to log onto EcoSys.

  • Custom - User uses a client-specific authentication mode.

  1. Type in the Password (required only for users with a Native Authentication Mode).

  2. Re-enter the password in the Confirm Password (required for users with a Native Authentication Mode).

  3. Select Password Never Expires check box (required for users with a LDAP Authentication Mode).

  4. Click the Main Menu ellipsis to select the main menu.

  • System Admin – EcoSys Administrator

  • User Role – All other EcoSys Users

  1. Select Organization Super User check box.

  2. Select Cost Object Super User check box.

  3. Select Version Super User check box.

  4. Click the Save icon.
