4.0

This Release Bulletin provides a brief description of any enhancements or new features as well as bug fixes that are included in version 2025.1.

Rollout schedule

  • Version 2025.1 rolls out to the ‘preview’ ring on Jan 17, 2025, and to the ‘production’ ring on Jan 18-19, 2025

  • Changes in version 2024.3, which rolled out to the ‘preview’ ring on Nov 16-17, 2024, are included in version 2025.1

What's New

  • Remote Agent

A Remote Agent can be utilized to read and write data from/to endpoints that are not exposed on the public internet. It supports all the connector technologies offered in the Connect platform – SOAP, OData, SQL and OpenAPI.

It is currently supported only on the Windows x64 platform.

  • Job Execution Log Retrieval Enhancements

The retrieval of Job Execution Logs involves the below three steps:

    • Getting data from the log store

    • Decrypting data that was stored encrypted in the log store

    • Transferring data to the browser

All three steps have been optimized in this version for better performance both in terms of memory utilization on the server and download times in the browser.

This work is on-going, and more optimizations will follow in subsequent releases.

  • Job Execution Recovery

Connect can now auto-update itself even when jobs are in progress. Such jobs will now show up with multiple ‘job monitors’ where the monitor that was running before Connect updated itself will show a status of "Continued", and the monitor created after the update was complete will show a status of "Success/Fail".

Prior to this version, Connect would give running jobs 60 minutes to complete, and if they didn’t, they would be canceled so that Connect could auto-update itself.

  • JSON parsing in the Transformer Processor

JSON data can now be parsed in the Transformer processor using JsonPath expressions.

The syntax to use in the processor is:

    #jsonPath(<jsonData>, <jsonPathExpression>)

What's Fixed

See https://github.com/json-path/JsonPath for more information on JsonPath and JsonPath expressions.
