Follow the steps below to configure and deploy DataStore:

  1. Once you complete the Dispatcher deployment, you will be directed to the DataStore part of the installation script. Enter y to install DataStore on this machine. Enter n to skip the DataStore installation.

  2. If the DataStore is already installed, the installer will ask if you want to install the DataStore again.

  3. Enter y to proceed with deploying DataStore.

  4. As a part of DataStore Configuration process, you will be asked to set some parameters. Read the purpose of each label carefully before proceeding.

    If the DataStore is already installed, this step will also ask to reuse the DataStore volume. Answering ‘Y’ will not erase any data associated with DataStore volume.

  5. Root is the Database admin user. Enter its password (DataStore_ROOT_PASS_)

  6. Enter y, if you want to change the default database name ‘connectData’ else enter n(DataStore_DB1_)

  7. Enter y, if you want to change the default login name ‘ecuser’ for the database else, enter n (DataStore_DB1_USER_)

  8. Enter the password for the user configured in the previous step (DataStore_DB1_PASS_)

  9. Enter y, if you want to change the default login name ‘backup’ for user performing database backup. Else, enter y (DataStore_BACKUP_USER_)

  10. Enter password for the user performing backup (DataStore_BACKUP_PASS_)

    The installer creates docker volume.

  11. DataStore configuration completion message appears on the screen. Enter y to proceed with the deployment.

  12. Confirm DataStore’s successful deployment message followed by a cleanup process of the config volumes.

    If the deployment is unsuccessful, then the error message appears on the screen and also gets logged under /home/user/Staging/install-logs/.

    The next set of questions will help to create TLS artifacts for the DataStore. The installer will use the information that you have provided to create TLS artifacts for ActiveMQ. You will be asked to use it or change it during this process.

  13. Enter y, if the mentioned name is the correct fully qualified name of the server, else enter n.

  14. Enter the name of you Organization Unit.

    In this example- ‘Information Technology’ is the name of the Organization Unit that was provided in ActiveMQ installation process.

  15. Similarly enter y to accept or enter n to change the information for the questions below:

  16. Confirm the full string of the ‘Distinguished name’ in TLS certificate with the information you provided:

    The installer will now create TLS artifacts for DataStore.

  17. Enter password for the DataStore truststore’s security:

  18. Confirm the completion of Datastore configuration message. Enter y to proceed deploying DataStore.

  19. Confirm successful deployment of DataStore.
