Uninstalling DOC4000 does not usually remove all user data. If you want to uninstall DOC4000 and do not intend to reinstall it, you need to manually remove the DOC4000 database on the Microsoft SQL Server computer. Before uninstalling DOC4000, back up all your data and stop the data collector.

The uninstall process attempts to delete all installation files in the installation folder and all subfolders created during the installation process. Any files added to those folders after the installation will not be deleted. If users have manually stored files in subfolders in the installation folder, back up these files before beginning this process.

If you uninstall DOC4000 with the intention of reinstalling or upgrading it, copy the license and configuration files (LicenseInfo.txt, LicenseIMOC.txt, and DOC4000MOCRoot.xml) from the default installation folder to another location before you remove DOC4000. For more information, see Backing Up the Database and Configuration Files.
DOC4000 7.2 or earlier
To stop the data collector and then remove DOC4000 7.2 or earlier:

Right click the DOC4000ServiceManager icon in the Windows system tray, and then click Stop to stop the data collector.

Click Windows Start > Control Panel.

Click the Programs and Features option (in the Programs category).

From the Currently installed programs list, click DOC4000 and then click Change.

After the uninstall process is complete, use IIS Manager to remove the DOC4000 and igcommon virtual directories.

After uninstalling DOC4000, browse to the DOC4000 installation folder and manually delete any files and folders that did not delete during the uninstall process.
DOC4000 7.3 or later
To stop the data collector and then remove DOC4000 7.3 or later:

Right click the DOC4000ServiceManager icon in the Windows system tray, and then click Stop to stop the data collector.

Navigate to the DOC4000 folder in the installation files, and double-click ISS_Setup.exe.

Select Uninstall from the list of options, and then click Next.

Click Yes to uninstall DOC4000.

After the uninstall process is complete, use IIS Manager to remove the DOC4000 and igcommon virtual directories.

After uninstalling DOC4000, browse to the DOC4000 installation folder and manually delete any files and folders that did not delete during the uninstall process.
