The point cloud registration is office based process that links all the scans together into one big scan with a common coordinate system. It uses the Leica Cyclone Register software.
The following points must be considered when doing the point cloud registration:
The point cloud must be imported into Cyclone at 100% with the recommended scanner settings. The import must be set down to 1 notch.
A key plan must be provided.
The TruSpace and TruView data must be provided with the scan.
For higher scanner resolutions, the point cloud must be unified at 1mm.
The model space views must be split logically between 400 million and 500 million points. They should not exceed 900 million points.
