Specifies the temperature differential which exists between the top of the pipe and the bottom of the pipe. This differential is used to compute an elemental load. It is added to each temperature case for horizontal pipes.

Typical units (depending on your unit system):

  • ºF

  • ºC

This entry is computed from the equation:

dT = Ttop - Tbottom

For example, consider a horizontal pipe where the temperature on the top is 20 degrees hotter than the temperature on the bottom. The proper value to type in this box is 20, not -20.
