Define up to 999 load cases.

Add recommended load cases

  1. Check for errors.

  2. From the Classic Piping Input Tab, select Edit Static Load Cases to display the Static Analysis - Load Case Editor Dialog. Loads based on the parameters specified in Piping Input display in the left pane.

  3. Select Recommend Load Cases Recommend LC ICON to display the Basic and Combination Load Cases and stress types that satisfy the model parameters and the basic requirements of the selected piping code.

  4. To delete, select the load case row, and then select Delete a load case .

  5. To modify, change the values of any field, including the Definition.

Add a new basic load case

  1. Select a row and select Add a load case . The software adds a new row after the selected row.

  2. Select one or more loads in the Loads Defined in Input pane and drag the loads to the Definition field. The software adds the loads.

    -OR-

    Type the load names with an operator (usually +) between them in the Definition field.

  3. Type a Name and select a Stress Type.

  4. Define other fields as needed.

  5. Select Save.

Add a new combination load case

Combination load cases must follow the basic load cases.

  1. Select the last row and select Add a load case . The software adds a new row after the last row.

  2. Select one or more Load Cases and drag the load cases to the Definition field. Select the Combination Method.

  3. If needed, select one or more loads in the Loads Defined in Input pane and drag the loads to the Definition field

  4. Type a Name and select a Stress Type.

  5. Define other fields as needed.

  6. Select Save.
