AcceleratorKMS Version

When you're creating or updating statements, you can embed videos from supported providers, such as YouTube and Vimeo. Add embedded videos to any of the following parts of a statement:

  • Statement text

  • More Details

  • Training statement

Before you begin

  • Open the document in edit mode.

  • Click +Item or edit an existing statement.

  • Be aware of the following points:

    • If you're reusing a statement that has embedded video, you can preview the video before reusing the statement.

    • If you're editing an existing statement, you cannot play the video in the statement editor.

    • Make sure end users have access to the video you're embedding. Authentication falls outside the control of AcceleratorKMS. If the user is not logged in to the destination, they're prompted to log in.

    • If content is saved as PDF or Word or being viewed from the mobile application of AcceleratorKMS, a URL appears rather than the iFrame. Selecting the link still brings you to the source content.

    • If you're using Safari version 16.3 or earlier on iOS, you may experience performance issues when loading pages that include several iFrames.

    • Embedded content that relies on forms, such as SharePoint and Microsoft Excel, is not supported.

    • iFrame content is based on the external source and not controlled by AcceleratorKMS.

About this task

Administrators have the authority to determine the permissible URLs that authors can utilize in embedded HTML using the AllowedIFrameSources configuration. This configuration will function as a allowlist for acceptable URLs. For more information, see Configuring the allowable URL list for embedded HTML sources.

Procedure

  1. Place the cursor where you want to embed the video.

  2. Select Insert media Media icon from the formatting toolbar.
    Embedded video

  3. Enter or paste the URL to the video you want to embed and then click Save Green check mark for embedded video.

If you do not click Save before you click Create, your video is not embedded into your statement.

  4. Ensure your statement is complete and then click Create.
