You can maximize the reuse potential of the statements in your content by using statement variables. Review source materials, such as P&IDs, procedures, and other content to identify potential reuse.
There are two types of statement variables:
-
Single use variables - Values are defined inline every time the statement is used.
-
Reusable variables - Values are defined once.
A document with undefined variables can be saved, but cannot be published. A message indicating the presence of undefined single use and/or reusable variables is displayed and the undefined variables are highlighted so they can be easily found and fixed.
Variable values are limited to 3000 characters.
