AcceleratorKMS Version
5.0

Change current domain assignment in content to a different domain.

Before you begin

You have opened either traditional content (a document or flow) or an asset document (you cannot edit the domain from a template).

About this task

You can change the existing domain in draft or published content to another domain.

Procedure

Impact to all versions and user access. Changing the value for domain, access or properties in the About this content section, automatically updates all versions, including the latest published version. Changing domain can also potentially impact user access to that content if the user does not have access to the domain. Before modifying domain, access and/or properties, verify changes are justified.

  1. In the About this content section, navigate to Domain, and click the existing domain.

  2. When the change is justified, click Yes to proceed.

If the change is not justified, click Cancel.

  3. In the Search domain field, start typing a new domain name, and then select from the list.

  4. (Optional) Navigate to the Access section, and modify the role access.

  5. Click Preview.

SHARED Tip If content is already published, you do not need to retract and republish content. Domain changes are automatically made in AcceleratorKMS to the existing published version. However, the published version on your external storage library on SharePoint (if used) is not updated until the new draft is published.
