Use an existing document as the basis for a new document.
About this task
If you require a new traditional document that is similar to an existing traditional document, you can copy the existing document to use as your basis for the new document. After copying, you simply edit the new traditional document to create the document you need.
If the source document is linked to a standard template, the copy is also linked to that template and automatically inherits all template changes going forward. You can unlink the copy from the standard template at any time.
Procedure
-
Navigate to the existing traditional document.
The Actions icon is visible only when the traditional content is not in edit mode.
-
In the upper-right area of the document, click Actions > Copy.
A copy of the existing document is created and named "Copy of <original name>."
-
Rename the new document.
The domain value is not copied from the original content and must be set before the content is saved.
-
Modify the document as required. Modifications can include items such as changing sections, statements, or variable values.
-
Click Save.
Results
The new traditional document is created and saved.
