The Contents map on the left side of your document can be used to:
-
Expand or close section/blocks by clicking the down arrow beside the content.
-
Jump to specific content by clicking on the content name or section.
-
Divide your content into three sections - Front, Main, and Back (must be in edit mode).
-
Drag and drop top level content hierarchy to manage order (must be in edit mode).
The pin icon on the Content map is a toggle to lock or minimize and float the map in both view and edit modes.
Sort and manage content hierarchy using the Contents map
The Contents map acts as a map editor so you can easily manage the hierarchy of your content:
-
Drag and drop top-level sections or reusable blocks or Dynamic Table to the new location within the Contents map
Sub blocks, sub sections, and other statements within a block cannot be managed using the Contents map. You must open the block in edit mode to sort this content.
Sort content in sections and blocks
Content can be sorted in several ways:
Outside a block |
Hover to the left of the item to be moved until you see the cross arrows icon, and then drag and drop to the new location. You can sort statements, sections, and blocks. For top level hierarchy, you can also sort from the Contents map. |
Inside a block (block must be in edit mode) |
Hover to the left of the item to be moved until you see the cross arrows icon, and then drag and drop to the new location within the existing block. You can sort statements, sections, and sub blocks. |
Move content or a sub block from an existing block to a different block or section |
Navigate to the new section or block and click +Item. Enter the sub block name or a few keywords to reuse the content or sub block. Manually remove the content from the existing block. |
