Delete attribute information that is no longer relevant.
Before you begin

You must be editing an asset type to delete attributes.
About this task
When you delete an attribute from an asset type, you also delete it from the associated asset profiles, including any values that you specified for the attribute.
Risk of losing content. Statement(s) where the asset attribute or attribute value were used are removed
from the template and from the generated asset documents. Ensure the content is not
required before deleting the attribute from an asset type.
Procedure

On the menu, navigate to Manage and click Asset types.
The Asset Type page opens.

Click Edit asset type.

Hover your cursor over the attribute or attribute value you want to delete.

Click the red x next to the attribute name.
A confirmation dialog box appears.

Click OK.

Click Preview.

Review the impacted documents.

Click Save.
Results
The attribute is deleted, and the statements that use that attribute are deleted from the template and from the generated asset documents.
