Attributes identify details for an asset that are pertinent to generating asset documents.
Before you begin
-
The asset type must already exist.
About this task
Create attributes, so that pertinent specifications or details for assets within an asset type can be identified. These attributes are later used in statements to determine whether or not the statement is shown based on the value of the attribute for the asset on which the document is being performed.
For example, you can set a statement to show only when the value for the attribute Driver Type is set to Steam. So a document for a pump with an electric driver would not include that statement.
