Enabling/Disabling controller service

Once valid, a controller service must be enabled for other components to utilize the information. A controller service can be disabled to adjust configurations or stop usage, when needed.

To enable a controller service:

  1. In the Controller Services screen, click the More icon for the desired service.

  2. Select the scope:

    1. Service only (Recommended): enables only the service.

    2. Service and referencing components: enables the service and enables/starts any referencing component listed.

  3. System will perform the necessary steps to enable the controller service.

    1. If successful, green check marks will display indicating successful enablement of the Service.

    2. If unsuccessful, red check mark(s) will display with reason(s) for inability to enable the service. User must correct these issues before enabling.

To disable a controller service:

  1. In the Controller Services screen, click the More icon for the desired service.

  2. Click the Disable button.

  3. System will perform the necessary steps to enable the controller service.

    1. If successful, green check marks will display indicating successful disabling of the service.

    2. If unsuccessful, red check mark(s) will display with reason(s) for inability to disable the service. User must correct these issues before retrying the disable action.

To re-enable a disabled controller service:

  1. Open the configuration screen for the disabled controller service.

  2. Review the current settings.

  3. Click Apply to save the configuration.

  4. The Enable icon will now reappear, allowing the service to be re-enabled.

This process must be completed even if no changes are required. Opening the configuration screen is necessary for the system to reactivate the Enable option.
