Referencing a certificate/key

Once a certificate or key is added within the Certificate / Key Manager screen, it can be referenced within the corresponding component for use by data flows.

Currently, SSL Certificate files can only be referenced within the HxGNPrivateSSLContextService controller service.

Any user can add a certificate or key reference, however coordination will be required with an Administrator user.

To reference a certificate or key:

1. Navigate to the corresponding component.

2. In the appropriate property field, enter the filename used in the Certificate/Key Manager screen. The filename entered must match exactly.

   1. Keystore Filename for keystore certificates.

   2. Truststore Filename for truststore certificates.

   3. Private Key Path for SFTP private keys.

   4. Host Key File for SFTP host public keys.

3. Once the configuration is applied, the system will validate if the file name entered in the properties tab exists within the system. If the file does not exist, a validation error is displayed indicating the file cannot be found.
